Lecture: MODELLING AND SIMULATION APPLIED IN BEARINGS AS INTERACTING MACHINE ELEMENTS
Professor Zulfiqar Khan has previously worked in the Ministry of Defence within Aeronautical Complex, Automotive Industry and the United Nations Development Programme (NGO) in Energy Technologies. He has made significant contributions in his previous roles such as the Associate Dean of Research & Enterprise and has led the University Sustainable Design Research Centre (SDRC) as the Director. He has established NanoCorr, Energy & Modelling (NCEM) research group in 2015. He has developed and established a multidisciplinary research portfolio in Nanoengineering & Energy Systems (NES®) in collaboration with major industry and HEIs partners. Professor Khan has developed both on and off campus energy laboratories to support energy resilience research. Professor Khan’s technological innovations are evidenced by several GB and international patents in corrosion condition monitoring, low to zero emissions energy technologies and nanofluids. Renewable energy technology and its relevant patents have been commercialised by industry partner. Professor Khan is the recipient of the Distinguished Researcher in Tribology Award, Excellence in Education in Sustainable Development Award, Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, Doctoral College Outstanding Contribution Award and VC staff awards in enriching society and advancing knowledge. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Chartered Engineer, Senior Fellow of HEA, and a Member of the ASME Energy Storage Committee. He is the editorial board member of several high-ranking journals.

Lecture: EVOLUTION AND TENDENCIES IN DESIGN AND EXPLOITATION OF CUTTING PROCESSES AND TOOLS
Prof. Dr. Eng. Mircea-Viorel DRĂGOI received his B.S. degree in 1985 and his PhD degree in 2000, both of them at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania. He was an academic staff beginning in 1993 as an assistant professor and currently is a professor at the Manufacturing Engineering Department of Transilvania University of Brașov. Over time he held the position of head of the Manufacturing Engineering Department (2008-2011, 2016-2019) and director of the Scientific Research Center Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Systems within Transilvania University Research Institute (2011-2016). He also served as a member of the Technological Engineering and Industrial Management Faculty Council (since 2000) and of the University Senate (since 2008). He has published eight books (one book chapter in an international publishing house) and more than eighty scientific works in national and international conferences, and in journals. He serves as a reviewer for international journals (Technical Gazette, Mechanical Sciences, Processes, Applied Sciences), and as a member of the Scientific Committee of international conferences in Romania and abroad (CoSME, MTeM, MSE, KOD and others), and is PhD supervisor since 2011. Founding member of the Academic Association of Manufacturing Engineering in Timișoara, Romania His scientific interest is focused on manufacturing processes, CAD/PAPP/CAM systems, and Design for manufacturing.
Prof. DSc. PhD. Eng. Žarko MIŠKOVIĆ

Lecture: DEVELOPMENT OF ENERGY AND RESOURCE EFFICIENT PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO THE INDUSTRY 4.0 PRINCIPLES
Prof.dr.-ing. Žarko Mišković is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (University of Belgrade). He is specialized in various fields of mechanical engineering, including machine elements and systems testing, rolling bearings, technical legislation (EU Directives), management of engineering projects, innovative machine design, rapid prototyping, and machine elements and systems reliability. He lectures on subjects such as Machine Elements, Machine Design and Technical Laws and Regulations for both B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies. His particular area of expertise is different types of rolling bearings, especially those used in motor vehicles and other transportation systems (e.g., overland conveyors). He actively participates in numerous national and international scientific projects. These include three projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, three projects funded by the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia, one Tempus and three Erasmus+ projects funded by the European Commission, and four bilateral projects (with China, Slovak Republic and the Republic of Montenegro). He served as a member of an expert team responsible for the adoption and implementation of the national Law on dual education in HEIs in the Republic of Serbia (effective since September 2019). As a General Secretary and member of the expert team, he was involved in the preparation of the National Hydrogen Strategy of the Republic of Serbia (since December 2021) and of the Energy Strategy of the Republic of Serbia until 2040 (since June 2021 – as a member of a workgroup).
